Dick Thompson was a baseball researcher and author. A veteran of the Vietnam war, he worked as a registered nurse at the VA Medical Center in Brockton, MA for 32 years. He was the author of The Ferrell Brothers of Baseball and was a member of the Society for American Baseball Research. He won the Bob Davids Award in 2004.
